About the Department
- Civil Engineering is a Professional Engineering discipline and it is the Mother branch of Engineering that deals with the design, construction and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment, including works such as bridges, roads, canals, dams and buildings. It is traditionally broken into several sub-disciplines including Environmental Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, Materials Engineering, Coastal Engineering, Surveying, and Construction Engineering.
- The principle educational objective of our department is to provide the students with fundamental and high tech knowledge and the skills needed to resolve the problems related to construction and maintenance of infrastructure in harmony with the society and environment.
- The department has a team of sincere, dedicated, competent and experienced faculty with commitment to serve the college in achieving its goals.
- All have completed their master degrees and some of them are pursuing their Ph.D.’s.

• N.Malathipriya Professor and Head of the Department of civil Engineering has 5 years of teaching experience. She has graduated from Thirumalai Engineering College, Anna University, in Civill Engineering [2011]. She has obtained her master degree (M.E.,Structural Engg) Global Institute Technoclogy [2018]. She started her educational career as an lecturer.

- To educate the graduates with the basic and advanced knowledge in civil engineering and to apply the fundamentals of mathematics, science, management and computing in engineering principles.

Regulations
This Regulation is applicable to the students admitted to B.E/B.Tech. Programmes at all Engineering Colleges affiliated to Anna University, Chennai (other than Autonomous Colleges) and to all the University Colleges of Engineering of Anna University, Chennai from the academic year 2021-2022 onwards.
